Shannon is GOF’s President of the Board of Directors and co-founder, also serving as GOF’s sole administrator. She and her husband, Joseph, live in Longmont, CO and take part in GOF overseas outreaches.
In 2003, Shannon joined Dean Niforatos on an overseas missions trip that forever changed the course of her life. This former music teacher and nonprofit administrator was deeply moved by the poverty she saw — both physical and spiritual — and determined to somehow make a difference in the lives of those who were so neglected and forgotten.
In answer to the Lord’s directive to “be a voice for those who have no voice,” she helped establish GOF and now works to meet physical and spiritual needs around the world by sharing the stories of war-torn and persecuted nations, working with donors, providing administrative services to GOF Missionaries and speaking to churches and groups about what the Lord is doing globally.
Shannon is ordained through Pray-Tell Ministries and is an accomplished worship leader, discipler, teacher and speaker with more than 15 years nonprofit and ministry experience. She loves being a part of GOF’s overseas outreaches and ministering to individuals and churches.
