You Brought Freedom in Pakistan

Thanks to you and your prayers, our time in Pakistan was incredibly powerful. Your prayers were answered in a number of ways.

  • 500+ repented of sin and dedicated their lives to Christ and at least 120 baptized in the Holy Spirit
  • 19 people freed from debt slavery in a brick factory
  • Held the first ever Gospel gathering in Abbottabad, the place where Osama bin Laden was found hiding
  • More than 1,000 church leaders trained and encouraged
  • Several miraculous physical healings

More than 5,000 attended the first ever Gospel gathering held in Abottabad, Pakistan.

Evidence of Gospel Growth

Every church we visited was packed full. That was not the case ten years ago, but now churches show the expansion of the Gospel in Pakistan.

The worship was incredibly vibrant — even though we couldn’t understand a single word! The Holy Spirit was present and the looks on the faces of the people showed authentic worship felt deep from the heart.

Worship was vibrant and heartfelt everywhere.

There is a hunger in Pakistan for the Gospel and for connection with the body of Christ.

Again and again we heard, “So many missionaries left after 9/11 and never came back. Thank you for coming!”

Pakistanis understand the dangers for westerners to visit and live in their country, yet there is a sense that churches been forgotten by the West. GOF Board Director and pastor Steve Ferrante had this to say regarding this repeated comment, “The feeling of isolation that was expressed after the missionaries left due to the 9/11 tragedy was palpable. The pull for America to send more workers cannot be ignored.

Our presence there brought deep encouragement to Christian believers. But we were equally encouraged by them!

Pakistan is a different country with a different culture, but the believers are of the same like precious faith. You could sense the Holy Spirit connecting us together as family.

Scott Peterson

Pastor

I was so encouraged by the exuberance of faith of the Pakistani church and having the opportunity to worship with them. They are an incredible example of love, joy, unity, hospitality, and reverence.

Dillon Spanswick

Participant

The faith of our brothers and sisters in Pakistan was so inspiring. Brought me to tears of joy! Such a cry out to God, a hunger, a presence! I pray this will carry to America — that our faith will grow more like our family in Pakistan!

Amos Self

Pastor

There is no way we can communicate everything which took place during our time there. Hopefully the video below gives you an idea of what you helped accomplish.

See the dramatic freedom you helped provide in Pakistan.

Eternal Treasure

Thank you for investing in the people of Pakistan. Churches were encouraged because of you. Hearts have been set free from sin. Families are experiencing new freedom. You have established eternal treasure in Pakistan!

Our work in Pakistan doesn’t stop. Please help us establish fully devoted followers of Jesus in Pakistan and free more families through your prayers and giving.
