Changed in an Unexpected Way

Dave when to Scotland and came back changed in a way he never expected.

Someone for You to Reach

Preparing for his trip, Dave felt the Lord speak, “be prepared, I have someone there for you to reach.”

He began to fast, pray and study the Bible with fervor. He wanted to be ready. As preparations continued, he kept hearing confirmations about reaching someone in Scotland.

He left for Scotland with purpose and excitement.

Out On a Cliff

Half way through the trip, no person had appeared that Dave believed was “the one.” Confused and disappointed, depression set in once again.

This was not a new feeling for Dave. Depression had plagued his family for generations. He’d attempted suicide more than once in his life.

At this point, the Lord drew him out to a secluded cliff several hundred feet above the North Sea.

Dave asked again where and who this person was that the Lord wanted him to reach.

“The person I brought you here to reach is YOU.
This is your place to give depression to Me.”

Without truly knowing how, Dave prayed and gave his depression to God. In that instant, his life completely changed. Depression was simply gone!

It’s been a few months since the trip and Dave reports he still has not struggled with a depressed thought since.

You never know who the Lord wants to touch. Often it’s those we go to serve, but sometimes it’s the one who goes.
