You made Christmas really special for 200 families who lost everything.

Late last year, Indonesia suffered rare flooding and landslides from not just one, but TWO tropical cyclones.

Over 1,000 died and more than 160,000 homes were destroyed.

But you delivered hope in the form of life-sustaining supplies.

A sanctuary now functions as a church and home to the pastor’s family.

It Was Worse Than We Thought

“We knew three communities needed assistance.  Once we arrived, we discovered seven communities who had not been helped,” said Pastor Samuel, our national partner.

One pastor moved his family and belongings to the church moments before his home was destroyed.  They now live in the church and move everything around for Sunday worship.

“It was worse than we thought.  Price gouging in the area meant we couldn’t serve as many people unless we went back to the city (Medan) to get more supplies.”

So that’s what they did.  And they returned with more food, mattresses and supplies to serve all seven communities.

They also preached the Gospel and celebrated Christmas in each community.

Your generosity showed in a very tangible way that God loves them and they are not forgotten.

The needs are still massive.  Churches need rebuilt and equipment replaced.  Homes need repair.  Hearts and minds need healing from the trauma they’ve experienced.

We want to send heartfelt thanks to you.  You stood with us when we needed it most, providing not just food supplies but HOPE.  Thank you for being His hands and feet.  God bless you!

Thank you for keeping them in your prayers.  And should you want to help further, your donation will be used to meet the most pressing needs for their recovery.
